Name of assignment- HARF project
Teacher- Ms. Ford |
For this assignment, my class cooperated with the animal shelter, HARF to do specialized things for the organization. Each group decided on a specific topic; one did social media, another designed and created a cart for a disabled HARF animal, Stewie. My group did an educational video on vaccinations for the animals by interviewing a HARF volunteer, Penny.

Reflection
The 21st century skill that was developed and improved during this assignment was Civic Literacy and Engagement due to how I was contributing to my community and helping the animals. My group was in charge of an educational video which would spread awareness for HARF. We went through a lot of procedures to have our final video product, it was a long challenge, especially after a couple group members left meaning only two of us had to do everything. If I redid this project, I would have pushed harder to interview Penny sooner so we could have more time to edit, but since the whole class's project was really behind because of the HARF volunteers and crew, it wasn't our fault. Projects like these relate back to when we helped a community of birds from destruction; we made pathways for people to go through so they wouldn't step on nests. Also having knowledge about public concerns and doing things to help is good to have so then you have some experience in this field for the future.
