Semester 1
Name of teacher: Ms. Cassie
Name of assignment: Earth's Geological Story |
For this assignment, we chose a topic of different times of the Earth and I chose the Cambrian Explosion. We had to research when and how it occurred, along with why it mattered.

Reflection
This assignment helped me improve on Self-directional skills because while others had partners, I took this on myself and organized a plan on what to research, and how to set up my presentation. I’d say it also helped improve my Global Awareness skill due to researching that era.I’m proud of the how the slide show turned out and how I managed to summarize the information in a couple slides for people to understand. The most difficult part of the project was finding credible sources with wrong information. I wouldn’t do anything differently because I liked how the product turned out. This project relates to projects where we cover global topics and how life was created. I can apply this to the future by doing further projects on the topic or to spreading knowledge.
Semester 2
Name of assignment-Graphing practice & Human Impacts on Soil
Name of subject- Field Ecology Name of teacher-Ms. Cassie |
In this assignment, we read a prompt where an experiment is executing the idea of whether a plant would grow better in sterilized or non-sterilized soil. We had to plot down to measurements on a graph and then answer the questions concerning all components of the experiment.

Reflection
I would say this assignment helped my Thinking and Problem Solving and Information skills. I was absent the day this was given to our class, so I had to figure out what was happening without the lecture. The class also had these papers printed out, while I did it digitally and learned how to create little dots that plotted in the pattern I wanted. I'm most proud of how well I was able to plot down the points since I would normally do it on printed paper. If I had to change how I did this paper, I'd do it earlier so I would have more time for other things. It relates to the past because in previous science classes we learned a lot about variables and constants in experiments.
